History

Cenergy has been providing workforce solutions to the energy industry for over 25 years. June Ressler founded Cenergy in 1996, working from her home office in New Orleans. By 2001, Cenergy had outgrown June’s home office and moved into our first office in the Central Business District.

The devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 forced a temporary relocation of Cenergy’s headquarters to Lafayette, Louisiana. However, due to our ability to respond and continue to service our customers in the immediate aftermath of that tragedy, in the months that followed, we expanded from 50 to 100 employees. Because so many of our clients relocated due to the hurricane, once we re-opened in the New Orleans office, we kept the Lafayette office and opened our first office in Houston, Texas. As we continued to expand, in 2007 we moved our headquarters to Houston, the hub of the global energy industry. We retained a presence in New Orleans, as well as in California’s San Joaquin Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. Additionally, we opened an office in Western Pennsylvania to support operations in the Marcellus Shale formation.

In 2007, Cenergy bolstered our commitment to support clients in Alaska through our joint venture with Tikigaq Corp. of Point Hope, Alaska, forming Tikigaq-Cenergy, LLC., with an office in Anchorage. We’ve also expanded globally – since 2008 Cenergy has had an office in Calgary, Canada, and in 2011 we opened offices in Singapore, Perth, Australia, Aberdeen, and Scotland. Supporting our customers has also led us to expand our range of services. In addition to consulting and logistics management, we offer a full line of safety-related services, third-party vendor management, inspection solutions, and aviation support.

Today, Cenergy has over 1,300 field consultants, working onshore and offshore in 17 countries and on every continent except Antarctica. We have built a superb team of service-oriented employees in billing, finance, sales, recruiting, logistics and HSSE services.
