Local Businesses Announce Adpot-a-School Partnership with Emmott Elementary

Cenergy is excited to announce its official business partnership with Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District and our “adoption” of Emmott Elementary, a local public school in the neighborhood of our Corporate office. The official ceremony was held on Wednesday, November 15^th, 2017 at Emmott Elementary, and was marked as the first business partnerhsip adoption in the school’s history!

Cenergy representatives included Eydie Eschete, General Manager, Michael Ferrier, General Counsel, Shannon Dimke, Employee Relations Specialist, Becky Jennings, Payroll/Benefits Specialist & Jobeth Anderson, HR Assistant. The ceremony was led by Leslie Francis, Director of Communications & Marketing for CFISD, as well as Jessica Hernandez, Principal-Emmott Elementary, who presented both Cenergy and Emmott with a framed certificate signed by the Superintendent of CFISD, Dr. Mark Henry, PHD.

As a CFISD business partner, this adoption initiative will enable Cenergy to provide a plethora of volunteerism and mentorship opportunities to both the students and staff that have currently been unavailable to this campus. Such efforts include book fairs, school supplies drives, staff appreciation, student mentorship, PTO membership, school event volunteer assistance, as well as the Holiday “Angel Tree”, a program in which Cenergy employees are able to “adopt” a student in need during the holidays in order to fulfill items from their Christmas wish list that might otherwise be unobtainable for them. Together with CFISD, Cenergy is excited to begin our partnership with Emmott Elementary to improve the enrichment and education of our local youth!
